Motivated by her deep love of her fellow man, Anya is profoundly dedicated to making an impact in the field of medicine, but her lack of confidence in her own abilities and tendency to get in her own head often get in her way. Due to a modest undergrad GPA and struggles with testing anxiety, Anya has failed to get into medical school eight times, which pushed her to acquire a (non-transferrable) nursing certifaction through the long-haul interplanetary shipping company, the Pony Express, and she's been working aboard the Tulpar as its on-board nurse for several years. Over the course of the Tulpar's final haul, Anya found herself a victim of abuse at the hands of the Tulpar's copilot, Jimmy, resulting in extremely disturbing circumstances. Outside of medicine, Anya's hobbies and interests include plants (hers are fake because she's awful at caring for them), unique novelty purses, psychology, and singing (she used to be in choir in school). She is a fairly reserved person who struggles with depression, anxiety, and PTSD, and tends to come across as glum. However, she is deeply compassionate and cares about others to a fault, always trying to see the best in everyone. She does not like swearing and will often use awkward-sounding replacement words or phrases unless pushed, and foul language from her is very rare. Anya also has a competitive streak and takes games very, very seriously.

VISUAL: Anya is a slightly tall woman who is of an average weight but a little on the softer side, with black eyes, dark hair, and long eyelashes. She slightly resembles Shelley Duval.
AURAL: Anya has a soft, quiet, steady voice most of the time. When she laughs, if it's genuine, it will be higher in pitch and slightly wheezy. (For her voice claim, I headcanon her sounding like Jo Guthrie, the DM of the podcast Dice Shame.)
OLFACTORY: Smells like disinfectant and flowers.
DEMEANOR: Reserved, somewhat gloomy, patient and kind.

The former captain of the Tulpar, and my patient for about four months after the crash. Even if nothing changed before things got really out of hand, it was nice to be able to talk to someone. To trust someone. I don't know why he did what he did, but if he was as stressed as he seemed... well, I have some guesses. I'd rather define him by the kind and hardworking person he was every day, than by a moment of weakness. I just wish I could have done more for him. In the end, we were both helpless. But I want good things for him now.

He acts mean, but he clearly cares, even if he does have some really... colorful insults when he's frustrated. He's an incredibly talented person, more intelligent than he gives himself credit for, strong and determined. Despite everything, I often find myself admiring him. He wears the scars of a very troubled life, but still managed to make something good. I wish I could be like that.
